Pastor Information

     

Called to Community Bible Church in November of 2004, Pastor Matt Waymeyer is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary (M.Div. in 1999 and Th.M. in 2003) and was ordained by Grace Community Church , in Sun Valley , California . After serving in an associate role at Grace Community for several years, he pastored a church in Montana in 2003-2004 before coming to Vista . His ministry is marked by a strong emphasis on the authority of Scripture and the verse-by-verse exposition of God’s Word.

 

Matt and his wife, Julie, have been married fifteen years and have five children—Jessica (age 12), Caleb, (11), Courtney (9), and Jacob (7),and Zachary (3) . Matt enjoys grammar, Baroque Music, and Thai food, but not necessarily at the same time. He is also an avid Calvin and Hobbes fan, as are most intelligent and well-rounded individuals (or so he says).
